Book Title: Accidentally in Love
Author: Belinda Missen
Publication date: 11th September 2020
Why I chose this?
I had an email from the lovely Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources asking if I wanted to take part in one of her tours and of course, I said yes.
What it’s about
Don’t miss the new laugh-out-loud rom-com from the author of One Week ’Til Christmas!
Perfect for fans of Mhairi McFarlane, Rosie Walsh and Josie Silver.
In the space of a week, Katharine Patterson has quit her job, decided to move back home, and broken up with the guy she thought was the one.
No big deal.
Because Katharine has a plan. She’s going to open her own art gallery, just like she’s always wanted. What she’s not going to do is worry about boyfriends.
Then she meets Kit, a handsome and talented local artist. He might be the most stubborn person Katharine has ever met. He might also make her feel like no one ever has before.
And Katharine might be about to fall accidentally in love…

Author and sometimes foodie, Belinda is a ridiculous romantic who met her husband after being set up by a friend two states away.
Residing in country Victoria, surrounded by books, cat-fur, and half-eaten cake, Belinda divides her days between writing rom-coms, baking, and indulging her love of comic books.

What I Thought
This is a book by a new to me author and it certainly won’t be the last.
It was a nice change for me to read about a woman who was close in age to me. It was actually rather refreshing. Katharine was like a breath of fresh air, a businesswoman trying to make her own way in the world who is trying to turn down handouts because she wants to say “I did this.” Her actions make me want to make her into one of my heroes because if I did what she did I’d have crippling anxiety.
The pacing of this was great and if it was possible for me I would have read it in one sitting (kids like to bother me as soon as I look comfy).
The character development was on point too. I want someone like Fiona who is willing to cook for me and be an ear.
My real critique of this is I was really hoping for some kind of epilogue as I want to hear more about these characters and how successful Katharine became.
This is definitely a must read for me and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
