My Random Thoughts

April wrap up

So since I’m off work on the sick at the moment I’ve been able to read as many books as I wanted without having to worry about needed to go to bed on time in order to feel refreshed ready to take the kids to school and go to work in the mornings.

I’ve read more this month than I have any other month while having this blog. Might not be as much as others but I’ve impressed myself.

So to wrap up this month I have read

This Could Change Everything

This Could Change Everything

As I mentioned in the review This Could Change Everything I thought this book was OK. I’ve definitely read worse books and she has done better, however, looking back on it now some parts were quite believable and would expect to happen sometime in my life.

The Sun is Also a Star

The Sun Is Also a Star

The second book I completed this month was The Sun is also a Star. A love story centred around a day, believing in love at first sight and the difficulties of being deported from a country you know and love to an unknown country that you were born in. As nice as this book was I’m still a cynic.

Throne of Glass

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)

I should have started this years ago. Throne of Glass is an amazing piece of literature and kept me wanting to know more about each and every one of the characters whether they were good, bad, or neutral.

Crown of Midnight

Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2)

Book two in the Throne of Glass series was fantastic. Celaena was fab and the whole thing with Chaol was sweet. I’ve reviewed it here.

Heir of Fire

Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass, #3)

This Book was amazing. I can certainly see why people have said the story gets going here. I loved it and was the first 5⭐ for me of the series. Read about it here.

Queen of Shadows

Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4)

I love that Aelin proved to everyone that she can hold her own. This includes the King of Assassins who is a complete arse and doesn’t deserve the respect that he receives off many people. Also LONG LIVE KING DORIAN Queen of Shadows: Book Review.

I did have a couple of books that I wanted to read but didn’t get around too due to Throne of Glass quickly becoming an obsession. However, I didn’t manage to finish Empire of Storms before the month was out due to a leaving party at work for one of my most helpful colleagues and will genuinely miss her.
