Why I chose this?
Well, I had to know what happened to Callie after the ending of Book One. I’m also kinda rooting for her and Benny at the moment. Even if he is a ghost

What it’s about

Samuel deserves to die a thousand deaths.
I was so close to going home and then he ruined it all.
Now, I have to focus on how to survive because I don’t think I can go home.
And to be honest, after a few more nights with Benny, I’m not sure I even want to. Plus, the more I learn about the circus, the more intrigued I become. I discover that I have abilities I couldn’t have even dreamed of if I’d stayed in California.
But, if I’m to survive, I might have to embrace dark magic.
Can I do that without losing myself?
Or am I destined to become evil?
What I Thought
I think Ron sums this up for me in just a few simple words
I mean seriously, way to keep me on the edge of my seat wanting to read more.
Poor Poor Callie, she has a knack for getting herself into trouble by wanting to do the right thing. it would work out so much better for her if she just let things be. Then again that wouldn’t make for an exciting story now, would it?
Callie is still innocent and making mistakes. Samuel is still an arsehole who puts Callie in difficult positions, although none of these is in bed where he wants her. Benny still seems like such a charmer and tries to protect Callie in his own way.Â
That ending though had me like this
Although I was going to read Book Three anyway, I feel I’m going to drop my responsibilities just to see how this ends.
