My Random Thoughts

I heart characters #18 – A character overrun with personality.

I Heart Characters! is a weekly meme hosted by Dani @ Perspective of a Writer to showcase our book blogger love for characters! I post my characters on Thursdays but feel free to post on whatever day suits you, about characters from whatever media you love (books, movies, K-dramas, television, manga, anime, webtoons, whatever!) and link up on the prompt post. ♡

This weeks theme is:

A Character Overrun with Personality

(This character totally bowls you over due to their powerful/expressive/ in your face personality. Do you enjoy them or are they annoyance incarnate?!)

Today I’m diving head first into the future because even in the future the Story Begins with Once Upon a Time. How can I see the promt a character overrun with personality and not think of the andoid with a faulty personality chip. Iko

Iko is such a wonderful character and I love her, shes smart (well duh, she’s a robot), she’s funny without question and she says my favourite line of the entire series

“Yeah, but broken isn’t the same as unfixable.”

Iko in Winter

I love how human she is even though we’re kept reminded that she isn’t, especially when she is the Rampions Auto Control system. She was completely devastated but at the end of the day, it was better than what Cinders Step Mother did to her.

I love that she starts of with broken parts which is kind of like inder in a way. She was lost and had a broken family but at the end both of them are whole and I think it a nice way that Meyer got them to mirror each other.

I also feel that Iko is like Cinders fairy Godmother and always has the right thing to say at the right time. I think everyone can use an Iko even if I feel I’ve not done her any justice in this post.

  1. I haven’t read Winter yet… but in Cress she got her new body and it was so AMAZE! I just loved how Cress got all upset about the body hahahha. It was a great way to have conflict and yet be totally innocent really. I am going to read Winter this year. I’m pretty excited because I love all the mix of characters. <3
