July 12th – MENTOR ME! (a mentor character you wish would mentor you too)
Well since I’m not a Dumbledore fan even with my love of the Harry Potter series I’m going with
Gandalf if a person I would like to mentor me because other than being the typical old wise man in the story he actually seems like he has a sense of humour and not afraid to get his hands dirty.
Now I’m a fairly small adult (5’3″) and I eat a lot so I think I’d quite easily pass for a hobbit. If this man asked me to go on an adventure and I didn’t have any responsibilities I’d go in a heartbeat. Bilbo and Frodo if you didn’t you’d have regretted it for the rest of your days.
As well as coming across as a fairly laid back guy Gandalf does seem to have his moments along with a flair for the dramatic.
In my opinion, Gandalf would be a good mentor because he has patience and understanding but I believe he could push me in a way others can’t. He’s a little sneaky and comes prepared for any situation. He also seems to have a lot of fire in him and this is the only thing I think we’d clash with but I’m sure we could work something out. Even if I have to take some guidance from the council that discussed who’d take the ring to Mordor.
Also, I’m not fussed whether Sean Bean turned up as Boromir or Ned Stark I’d be happy with guidance off either of these characters played by my northern kin. But yeah I’m definitely going with Gandalf as a mentor
