WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday ~ 15th August

It’s Wednesday and so it’s time for another WWW Wednesday. So in case, you don’t know what WWW Wednesday is:

WWW Wednesday is a weekly tag hosted by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, you just answer the following questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

1. What am I currently reading?

The MermaidI started reading this today and like her other books she doesn’t waste anytime and just jumps straight into the story. Not much scene building but we jump right into the characterisation then a bit of back story before Barnum is brought to our attention.

This doesn’t seem as dark as her other stories that I’ve read but I am only on chapter two with the monkey sewn onto a fish tail. I do like that some elements from Barnum’s life have come up already.

2. What did I recently finish reading?

The Gathering (The Uprising, #1)

The Gathering is one I finished a couple of days ago and was part of a blog blitz today.

As I mention in my review of the book this book is not one for people who don’t like swearing/cursing. It’s starts off at a New York Rock and Roll concert so although the amount of swearing was more than I expect I did expect some from my experiences with Bowling for Soup concerts.

I enjoyed this book and was written in a different way than I have come to experience but it’s well worth it.

3. What do I think I’ll read next?

As suspected I did get books for my birthday. I got 15 books for my birthday and £50 in vouchers for Waterstones so I have a bit to choose from and I’m honestly not sure what to read next.

  1. Haha I always struggle to pick my next reads too! You can easily include a poll in your blog post, there’s a really simple plugin for that. Or ask Twitter for help 🙂

    1. I might do that actually. I’m getting buried under my TBR pile and it’s really hard to choose 😂
