It’s Wednesday and so it’s time for another WWW Wednesday. So in case, you don’t know what WWW Wednesday is:
WWW Wednesday is a weekly tag hosted by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, you just answer the following questions:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
1. What am I currently reading?
My first current read is Circe, Circe is the 1st Daughter of Helios and is like the black sheep of the family but she discovers the art of witchcraft which is forbiddon so she is exciled.
I’m about 22% into this at the moment and either I’m having yet another off spell or these books I’m choosing are all starting slow. That being said, as I’m now at the part where she has been exciled I’m positive it’ll pick up.
While on my dinner hour in work I’ve taken to reading this on my phone. I am currently 8% into and this isn’t any fault of the book but I’m not a huge lover of reading things on the Kindle app on my phone. I either need a much bigger screen or preferably an actual physical book but as this was an eArc I’ve decided I’ll be taking my Kindle into work with me to pass the time away on my dinner. You’d think after 14 months I’d be used to a dinner hour by now.
2. What did I recently finish reading?
The Cruel Prince was a book I enjoyed once I got to book two which is roughly 60% into the book. I know other people have enjoyed it but what I haven’t seen much of is warnings that it’s a slow burner. Also as a main character Jude is someone I wasn’t able to click with. There was something a bit off with her which I am still unable to put a finger on.
To be completely honest I wouldn’t mind reading a book from Vivi’s perspective.
At about 50% into this book I was tempted to DNF it but I pushed through and I really enjoyed book two and now I’m enduring the long wait until the Wicked King comes out and getting slightly jealous of those who have already read it.
3. What do I think I’ll read next?
These two aren’t necessarily in any order but I bought these from Waterstones as I’ve heard about these and it helped that they were buy one get one half price. One of us is lying sounds like a cross between Cluedo (or clue) and The Breakfast Club.
