WWW Wednesday: 9th May

Good day geeks! 🤓 It’s that time again, It’s WWW Wednesday. YAY

WWW Wednesday is a weekly tag hosted by Taking on a World of Words. To participate, you just answer the following questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

1. What are you currently reading?

This week I’m reading:

Things a Bright Girl Can DoI’m only about 50 pages into this book at the moment. However that being said it’s really good.

The three main charactors are all strong females with their own passions.

Evelyn wants to go to university but her parents don’t see the point as she’ll only be a wife or mother. May has grown up around the suffragette movement and helps her mother and goes to talks and rallys run by slyvia Pankhurt and meets Nell who she falls in love with.
So far so good.
The Man Who Didn’t Call

I’ve also been reading an ARC I requested from NetGalley by Rosie Walsh Called the Man who Didn’t Call or in the States it’s know as Ghosted.

Once again this is a book I am enjoying as I myself have been in Sarah’s position which I think many people have (probably why he’s just not that into you was so popular)

After a week long loved filled week ends Sarah is now clutching and checking her phone every chance she gets to see if she has received anything of the man she believes she loves.

She has just come out of a divorce and has been living in America since leaving school and has come back to help out her friend. I’m hoping this stays on the right track as I’m not generally a hugh fan of anything with time jumps in them and this one goes back between the week she met Eddie and the present day.

2. What did you recently finish reading?

The Rest of MeI recently finished reading Katie Marsh’s The Rest of Me. This was my first book by this author and I don’t think it’s going to be my last.

This book actually hit on the subject of bullying and was done really well. Alex’s is recovering from giving her husband her kidney to save his life and her new boss is triggering her with the way he acts and constantly putting her and her work down.

It also goes into how her oungest child is bullied and how she tries to act tough like her mum without knowing her past.

This is one I recommend however it’s not out until 26th July.

3. What will you read next?

My plan is to read the 5 books on m NetGalley list and i’m also thinking of starting the Red Queen but I made this mistake with the Throne of Glass series where I neglected to read some standalone novels so I think I might read the Exact Opposite of Okay first.

Red Queen (Red Queen, #1)The Exact Opposite of Okay
